About Us

Originally growing up in BC we were excited to return to the Pacific Northwest in 2016 and return to our roots.  The outdoors has always signified quality family time and kayak angling is no exception.  Exploring the opportunities that our area has to offer and meeting like minded people on our travels, we fish pretty much everywhere we go.

We founded Pacific Yak Angler in 2020 to support the growing sport and provide access to kayak fishing relevant goods and supplies.  Our mandate is, where possible, to source our goods and products from North American companies committed to sustainability and stewardship of fish habitat and stocks and provide opportunities for other local suppliers to get their product to market. 

In returning to the Island the opportunities are endless.  We did find however difficulty in sourcing certain products to be challenging.  Hence the creation of Pacific Yak Angler.  With a focus to serving the community with custom products, proven manufacturers that support our sector and some fun textiles that celebrate our sport.
