Our same great design with modified spindle and shock cord holes to replace the rudder in the XL Rudder Kit this near-universal rudder will fit many current and older Wilderness Systems solo kayaks.
Current Wilderness Systems models that work with this rudder include:
- ATAK
- Radar
- Tarpon 105, 120 and 140 sizes
- Tsunami
It can also be installed on Pamlico tandem kayaks with the addition of the Supplemental Rudder Kit and works on several older models as well.

- Note: Aluminum rudders are heavier than OEM molded plastic and hence put extra strain on shock lift system. See instructions for recommendations on deployment and lifting of rudder. We have increased the diameter of the shock cord holes to allow for larger diameter cord if desired
